we can still not emphasize the importance of blood donations enough. so many of adrian's friends depend on blood and platelet donations. their abilities to rebuild their blood counts (and therefore regain immune function) when chemo has wiped them out depend on these blood donations. all of the patients at sloan fighting this disease (children and adults alike) are in the same boat. truly, their lives rely on these donations.
