happy new year!
we hope this finds everyone happy and well.
again, thanks for continuing to check in on adrian by way of this website, your emails and calls. as most of you know, we were very lucky to have had adrian home on both christmas and new year's. he started up his chemo again on the 26th, initiating the fifth of the 18 cycles he has slated for this year.
this may be confusing for many of you. while the surgery was a major hurdle that we are now so grateful is behind us, we still have a long road ahead of us: adrian's treatment plan is currently a full 51-weeks (not counting any delays he has when the chemo makes him too sick to stay on schedule). he will complete his fifth round of chemo next week. on january 8th, he will begin a four-week course of radiation therapy, in addition to continuation of the chemo. please continue to pray for adrian and send him strength during this time.
he has proven nothing but an amazing trooper throughout all of this, and we are confident he will only continue to be so. i cannot describe how many times (every time, really) his sweet spirit and happy disposition rise above the challenges of this disease. he is truly such a good boy, and has brought all of us surrounding him so much comfort and so many giggles along the way.
